Description
(2) Antique cast bronze candelabra wall sconces in good condition, but in need of rewiring. I'm unsure of the actual age of these, but they're definitely pre-WW2. The wiring is cloth jacketed and the wirenuts are porcelain, so that is helpful with dating. Sconces look great and are heavy bronze. They are dusty are a bit dirty, but have a nice patina. Bulb sockets have standard base and may be salvageable. Sockets have a cardboard outer sleeve that is supposed to mimic a melting candle. All remaining wiring is brittle and deteriorating. The on/off switches operate, but should be replaced also. Switches are stamped 'Leviton 10071' and appear to be a common size. Sconces are fully intact and free of cracks or damage. They show a normal amount of wear. Sconces are unbranded, but are both stamped 'B41' on the back. Fixtures measure approx 10" tall. Lamp holder extends approx 4" from fixture. Round wall plate section is 4" in dia. Sconces are guaranteed to arrive in described condition, but are sold As/Is-No Returns due to the deteriorated wiring.
