Description
We have a limited number of live White Sturgeon (Acipenser transmontanus)fish. This is the largest sturgeon specie in North America. They are 3 to 4 inches, and are FARM BRED AND RAISED. They are not wild stocks! Fish are eating 1.5 mm size at 40% protein sinking pellets, and frozen blood worms. If you need sturgeon feed, they can be purchased on Ebay, Amazon, or at your local pet store....do a search for "sinking 1.5 mm fish pellets(Chiclid pellets can also work)."
They can be raised with other fish such as goldfish and koi, or other non-aggresive fish. They need shade and fish does best in dim light in a fish tank and in shaded ponds. In an ideal pond setting, they can grow to 3 to 8 feet. Sturgeons do not tolerate high temperatures over 29 degrees cel and direct full sun, althou
gh a chiller is not necessary to keep White Sturgeon.
Live arrival is guaranteed if package is accepted asap with first attempt. In case of DOA, please email within two hours of package acceptance two pictures; one in unopened bag and the the other with the fish's tail chopped off. We will replace the fish, or refund the cost of the fish. Guarantee is void if you do not follow the procedure. Shipping charges are nonrefundable, and customer is liable for any reshipping charges. We Ship on Mondays and Wednesdays. Your order will be shipped according to the closest shipping date. Customer is responsible for all fish and game regulations pertaining to their state.
IMPORTANT!: These Sturgeons are raised at 12 to 15 degrees Celcius. They are acclimated to cool winter outdoor temperatures. If you are going to keep them indoor, they should be kept in a cool garage. They will slowly adjust to warmer temperatures as the season changes. It is not mandatory to have a chiller with White Sturgeons. Make sure your tank is not new setup and with any tap water. Treated tap water needs at least a few hrs to sit. Have areation and filteration going for a few days prior to arrival. When you get the package, place the bag in your tank for 15 to 20 mins to equalize the water temperatures. Then open the bag and add 20% volume of bag water from your tank into the bag. Wait 10 minutes. Repeat an addition 20% of your tank water into the bag. Wait another 10 minutes, then release the fish into your tank. Wait a day to feed the fish sinking pellets and suppliment with frozen blood worms. White Sturgeons need partial or full shade to thrive and do not like a lot of light.
