    These are VERY special! Set of four hand painted antique hand carved wall sconces. My guess is these are French antique back plates. Ancient, possibly 200 years old, electrified by E F Caldwell in the 1920's or '30's. Each sconce is 17" tall, about 10" wide. The back plates are hand carved wood, I think possibly chestnut. The arms are adjustable. Completely rewired. Sconces are signed with the "C" in a diamond mark. Look closely at these beautiful pieces. Each is hand painted with a different central motif.
