This antique 5-light polychrome chandelier is a recent estate sale find.  When found we were impressed with the condition given its age.  We did see that the original wiring was deteriorating and unsafe and needed attention.  The decision was made to replace the wiring with new cloth covered wires to match the original.
When installed, this lighting fixture has an overall diameter of about 19" and has a drop of about 16".  The body of fixture and the canopy are made of cast iron.  As shown in the photos the polychrome finish is very bright and in very good condition.
The canopy is about 6 1/4" in diameter and has a drop of about 3".  The interior surface is embossed with "GLFCO."  This probably refers to the manufacturer but we could not identify them further.
Each of the five slip shades are matching and are produced with an amber toned glass.  Some of the edges show some minor flaking commensurate with age (mostly to the top corners of the slip channels) and we have attempted to show most of these in the photos.
