    Description

Antique Art Deco 1930's/40 Ceiling Light / Chandelier with 15-inch Champagne and Clear Glass Shade and Brass Fixture Next to the "sunflower glass shade" this glass shade is one of the most coveted patterns/designs for ceiling lights/chandeliers. The chandelier is shown with a ceiling medallion for affect. The ceiling medallion is not included. Additionally, light bulbs are not included. The shade is in "near mint" condition with near perfect evenness of color (see photo #11). The same shade in similar condition is almost impossible to find. For some reason the fired on paint of many or most of these shades acquired unsightly variation of color and staining. Some listings of ceiling lights using the same shade but with having color variation suggest that these shades were intentionally shaded to resemble stone. They were not. Fired on color was intended to be even. Features: drop (hang) - 1+3/4 inches shade diameter - 15+1/4 inches shade depth - 4+1/4 inches heavy and thick champagne color and clear embossed glass shade weighing nearly 7 pounds crystal glass body, bobeche, and prisms twelve (12) 3+3/4-inch prisms (re-pinned) rewired with 4 new standard size ceramic sockets and new lead wire updated with a ground wire solid brass fixture (socket cluster, canopy, cast loops, acorn style finial) brass plated check rings, spacer, and decorative chain link ready to hang; modern mounting hardware included for use with an existing electrical box weight (shade and fixture) - over 9 pounds The glass shade is in "near mint" condition. There are no condition issues with other glass parts or prisms. The glass shade and other glass parts may have inherent manufacturer irregularities such as bubbles and straw marks. Unfinished brass fixture parts have been polished to show detail and will gradually acquire patina. The ceiling light is shown with tapered chandelier bulbs. Tapered or flame style bulbs are recommended to keep heat away from the shade. Tapered bulbs do no show over the top of the shade and are easier to change versus using regular incandescent bulbs. Pictures are of the actual ceiling light / chandelier. Slight variation in color among the photos is the result of color and light balancing, exposure, lighting, shadowing, and with the shade lit and unlit. The color of the shade is most accurately depicted in photo #11. "Flat Rate shipping in the amount of to any location within the 48 States.
