Antique c.1810 FIRST EMPIRE Pair of French Brass Candlesticks Candle Holders
Here is a gorgeous pair of large candlesticks
Made of thick turned and patterned brass, bronze or bell metal
Well ornamented, the patterns are typically French from the period and made by hand, using an instrument, which is a purely French invention of the period, called "moulette" (kind of a roller)
French in origin, First Empire, around 1810-1820
