Beautiful Large Antique Spelter Newel Post Lamp, Sculpture, Muse Des Bois Figurine, (Muse of the Woods.) with Acanthus & Acorns by W. Lering.
This magnificent sculpture has been masterfully cast in a lost wax process to create this exceptional work of art.
It has been hand finished with the addition of individual leaves, branches and acorns that seem to adorne the gracefull figurine, almost a dance between them.
The lamp is in perfect working order, all 3 bulbs work as can be seen with the lights turned on, shown in the ample pictures provided. The total height is 34" with the widest point being 20"wide and 8" at the pedistal base.
Dating back to approximatly the turn of the last century this lighting fixture is quite old. The patina has some wear and may need to be cleaned or polished or restored. I am no expert in the field of fine metal sculptures and I did not want to harm the finish in any way. I have seen how people attempt to do things without knowledge only to harm or damage the patina,  you can decide for yourself to leave it as is or use an expert to restore this fine piece. Personally, I am in awe of its beauty and presence, I would not do anything to change it.
It is quite delicate and the semi flexible branches can be damaged in shipping so it would be ideal for a local buyer to purchase her, I offer local pick-up and if you're within 50 miles of greater Los Angeles free delivery with proper Covid Practices and Guidelines will be adheared to to maintain the safety of all parties concerned.
