When found, this 4-light polychrome chandelier was dingy with old and cracked wiring that needed replacement.  The decision was made to rewire and restore this fixture to bring back much of its original beauty.
The restoration process included:
Complete disassembly and cleaning
Surface enhancement and sealing
Replacement of the internal bulb sockets into the original brass shells
Complete rewiring using new cloth covered wires to match originals
Reassembly
Testing
The parts of this chandelier are made of cast metal and have no cracks, repairs, or missing casting sections
When installed the chandelier has a drop of about 19" (not including the bulbs) but can easily be reduced by removal of links of its 9 1/2" chain.  The body of the fixture is about 15" in diameter.  The matching canopy is about 6" across.
