French Art Nouveau Cast Bronze & Gilt Brass Argand Chandelier, c. 1900
This impressive French cast bronze and gilt cast brass five-light chandelier weighs approximately 18 pounds, and measures 15" in diameter with a 28" drop. Epitomizing Art Nouveau inspiration, this c. 1900 fixture features a molded crown-form pendant corona issuing four bellflower drops set with light sockets. The four swags surround a larger fifth down swept floral candle cup, which is fixed as a final to the centered urn form reservoir on this antique argand chandelier.  Suspended from a highly-shaped cast acanthus flush mount, this aged fixture displays remarkable individually cast bronze and bronze-gilt cast brass French foliate ornamentation throughout the bulbous short drop standard.  Please consult images, and message with any questions.
