KemPhlats Hot Rod Black is a true urethane product built from the same polymers and co-reactants used to make highly weatherable automotive topcoats.  These resins along with proper flatting pigments and U.V. additives ensures strong weathering performance.  Don't buy the re-packaged primer others are selling!

How much is it to add primer to this go with this item?
The cost depends on which type of primer you need.  We offer a wide array of primer tailored for specifc applications.  Here are some general recommendations:
Epoxy Primer
- Required for corrosion resistance and adhesion over bare metal.
Urethane Primer Surfacer
- Best for filling in small imperfections and easily sands to a smooth uniform surface.
Urethane Sealer
- Great choice if your paint is already in fair condition and you don't need body work.  Available in a wide range of colors to reduce base color needs and reduce visibility of stone chips and gouges.
Adhesion Promoter/Plastic Primer
- If you are painting over bare plastic it is best to use a primer designed to adhere and flex with your plastic

Can I use your products with another brand's primer, clear, reducer, color etc?
It is impossible for us to test our products with every other brand of paint product so we can not guarantee it will work.  Therefore, we only recommend you use our brands of products as a system.
Is this material enough paint to do my car?
How much paint is required depends on the color you choose, the size of the vehicle you have, and how much of the vehicle you are painting.  Generally speaking a car kit is typically enough to the outside of a mid sized vehicle plus 2 door jambs.  If you have a larger vehicle, or you plan to paint inside the trunk, under the deck lid or hood or engine bay you need more paint.  We recommend purchasing extra to have on hand in case you need it.  You can return un-opened containers for a refund less the shipping we had to pay.
Is there a faster shipping option?

Do I have to use the Low VOC Product?
You can not use or even posses in an autobody setting products that are not low VOC compliant.  At the time of this listing most of California, Deleware, Maryland, and all of  Canada require low VOC finishes.  However, more regions are adopting this regulation so we advise you check your local regulations to ensure compliance under current and future rules governing the use of automotive paint products.
Why is it more expensive than the standard version?
Low VOC systems require a special solvent blend that is substantially more expensive than traditional solvents and resins.  As such we have to charge more for the final product.  The plus side is you are helping reduce smog and other lower atmospheric gases.  Some would consider it a more environmentally friendly alternative.

We currently are offering free shipping to the continental USA on all our items sold through ebay! If you order multiple items all items may ship together or separately depending on the items and shipping regulations.  Many items can be shipped to Canada where ground service is available. Customers in Canada please contact us with your postal code to verify we can ship to your area before you purchase. We do not ship to APOs, FPOs, or anywhere outside the continental USA.  We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico.
Shipping Times
We work hard to ship items as quickly as possible.  However, due to the nature of these items, processing and shipping time (the time it takes us to get your items packaged and turned over to UPS or Fedex) can vary between 1 and 3 business days depending on our order volume.  This does not include your transit time which we define as the time Fedex or UPS has your package(s) until they are delivered.  Transit times vary between 1 and 6 business days depending on your location.  Typical order arrival times (the time between when you complete payment for your order and when you receive your items) are shown in the map below.  This map does not constitute a warranty or guaranty of any kind.  Always order as far in advance as practical.  Weekends and holidays do not count as business days.
