Large Muse Des Bois Figural Newel Post Lamp Acorns W Lering Art Nouveau Antique

Description

Monumental figural newel post lamp measuring 35" tall x 21" wide across the leaves.  Wood base has an 8" diameter.  Backside of base has the signature W Lering cast into it.  Front of piece has a plaque mounted on it that reads, "Muse Des Bois" which I believe translates to "Muse of the Woods".  Lamp features three Bryant sockets with mica insulators.  Shells are marked 250 V 50 CP.  Statue is spelter with an applied patina.  Socket risers are decorated with leaves and acorns.  Fixture beautiful original finish.  One screw attaching the socket risers to the body has been replaced.  One socket has a split in the brass threads.  Cord has been cut flush with the base.  Needs rewired.  See images.  Offered as found and unrestored.  Due to the nature of this fixture I am listing it for local pickup only.  If you would like to discus personal delivery please contact us.  Additional pictures and measurements available upon request.  All sales final.  No returns accepted.
