Lasalle Art Deco Brass Chandelier.
A very Art Deco cast iron chandelier by the American company Lasalle in antique gold with Nile green and Carmine red accents. It comes with its original ceiling canopy and hanger. This chandelier is missing the finial, it would have been a smaller version of the hinged hanger. The chandelier has no wiring or lights but would have had lights that looked like candles which pointed up towards the ceiling. Deco elements include stepped designs, geometrics, and stylistic acanthus leaves. The medallion is stamped LASALLE MFG - T APPL FOR - B855 on the center back. See photos.
This light fixture is a great candidate for restoration. It need cleaning, paint touch-up, and most definitely re-wiring. Last photo is an example from a Ruby lane listing which shows the chandelier with its original “candles” and finial.
The medallion is 15" diameter. The ceiling escutcheon measures 5" diameter by 4 1/2". The decorative hanger is 9".
