"The International Space Station (ISS) is a modular space station (habitable artificial satellite) in low Earth orbit. The ISS program is a multi-national collaborative project between five participating space agencies: NASA (United States), Roscosmos (Russia), JAXA (Japan), ESA (Europe), and CSA (Canada). The ownership and use of the space station is established by intergovernmental treaties and agreements.
The ISS serves as a microgravity and space environment research laboratory in which scientific experiments are conducted in astrobiology, astronomy, meteorology, physics, and other fields. The station is suited for testing the spacecraft systems and equipment required for possible future long-duration missions to the Moon and Mars. It is the largest artificial object in space and the largest satellite in low Earth orbit, regularly visible to the naked eye from Earth's surface. It maintains an orbit with an average altitude of 400 kilometers (250 mi) by means of reboost maneuvers using the engines of the Zvezda Service Module or visiting spacecraft. The ISS circles the Earth in roughly 92 minutes, completing 15.5 orbits per day." - Source: Wikipedia
This artifact was designed as part of the International Space Station Mockup used to train NASA Astronauts at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
It has all of the basic physical characteristics and dimensions of a flight luminary for spatial reference during training.
Aluminum is the main structural material with white plastic end caps and a clear light-transmitting lens.
It has a Florescent lamp contained within the clear protective cover.
The lamp controls are silkscreened onto the Aluminum chassis.

We require that all potential buyers read our 'FAQ and Terms of Sale' section, at the bottom of each listing, prior to purchase, offer or bid placement and inquiries.
As the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing is fast approaching, spaceflight missions grow farther reaching and ever bold, while we begin to experience a renaissance of international interest in spaceflight endeavors and technology. Still, only a few know
about the possibility of collecting such historically significant artifacts, as these from the Space Programs, but that is beginning to change, in light of these events.
Over time, spaceflight artifacts are increasingly difficult to acquire and the value of these rare collectibles is very likely to rise dramatically. If you are a collector that is new to the niche of spaceflight hardware and seeking to diversify your portfolio, this is an excellent way to accomplish that with a unique and sound investment. These are heirlooms that will inspire and be admired by many generations to come.

If any of this type of provenance / paperwork is not shown in the photos and specified as "included" in the listing, then it is not available or included in the sale.
Artifact Flight Status: FLOWN = Spacecraft hardware / components, crew equipment, scientific instruments or other items / materials that have been flown. FLIGHT = Spacecraft flight qualified spares or backup hardware / components and engineering test articles made of the same components as the flight article. These are items that could have flown, but were not flown. Ground Support Equipment (GSE) = Non-flight space program hardware, equipment and scientific Instruments used in direct association with the spacecraft, spacecraft engineers and technicians. These are items that were used and made for ground support that may or may not have been in direct contact with the spacecraft prior to launch.
All items listed here are being sold as collectible artifacts only, and although they may be in perfect working order, we are not able to test them for functionality.
