Pair of Unique, Restored 1930's Art Deco/MCM, White Porcelain Bare Bulb Sconces by Pass & Seymour (ALABAX)
These art deco, white porcelain sconces were manufactured in Syracuse, NY by Pass & Seymour under the name ALABAX, their porcelain line of fixtures.  They are art deco in style and date from the 1930's.   Their flared necks, gives them a unique design, and they are intended to be a bare bulb fixture.  They would be excellent for showing off a fancy bulb.  We have shown them with two different kinds of bulbs but there are dozens and dozens of designs available nowadays.  The sconces are in very good condition, have been restored, and are ready to hang on the wall.
We have carefully cleaned each fixture, removed the old overpaint from the sides and most of the paint and dirt from the back.  We rewired them and added new nickel plated chains.  The pull switches work smoothly and correctly.   Everything has been tested and is guaranteed to work correctly.
Each fixture has a polarized outlet at the base which was also rewired. Since the outlets are not the modern 3-wire grounded systems, we will let the buyer and his/her electrician decide whether hook them up.

Dimensions:  5-3/8" diameter at the wall, project 3-3/8" from the wall, and the flared portion around the bulb socket measures 3-3/8".  They use standard base bulbs (not included).
