    Description

Be sure to "watch" this listing - as I often send offers and/or lower prices.
This listing is for a vintage pair of cast iron
and slag glass American Arts & Crafts / Mission / Tudor style
    lantern type
electric wall sconces from the 1910's.
THEY HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY RESTORED & REWIRED
with new wiring, sockets, and copper backing plates.
    100% READY TO INSTALL
Would go well in anything from a
craftsman bungalow to a Victorian home.
They are painted in a light green color as close
to the original paint color as possible.
(This light green color was meant to mimic the
green oxidation found on bronze - and many cast
iron exterior fixtures were originally painted
this color - though an overwhelming majority
have since been repainted in black.)
Upon stripping the fixture, this light green was
found to have been the original color.
They have beautiful stained glass panels with
wispy swirls of amethyst, amber, and blue.
Beautiful deep colors when unlit, and
nearly a white color when fully lit up.
No clue why, but one closes with a drop-in pin,
and the other with a threaded thumb-screw.
(This is how they originally were made, as there were no
repairs or modifications visible when completely stripped.)
    - Just adds a little more character!
They are intended for UNDER-ROOF exterior use
    such as a porch
or covered entry (as they do not form a weather seal when closed).
If using inside, be sure to use low-heat LED bulbs,
as these fixtures could trap the heat of traditional bulbs.

    reasonable
    offer,
    please message me.
They are fairly heavy and fasten directly to the wall
rather than employing the mounting holes of an electrical box.
The fixtures have top and bottom mounting holes for
anchoring to wall structure above and below an electrical box.
Mounting screws and masonry anchors will be supplied.
See last photo for size and mounting details.
    Approximate Dimensions;
    Overall Height - about 12-5/8"
Overall Depth (out from wall) - about 4-1/2"
    Overall Width - about 6-13/16"
    Mounting hardware is included.
    These fixtures take
    STANDARD
LED bulbs of up to 25 watts maximum.
    (
    NOT
    THE TINY CANDELABRA TYPE BULBS).
A LED bulb of 10 to 15 Watts can give the same
brightness as a traditional bulb of 100 watts.
I STRONGLY SUGGEST USING LED BULBS ONLY!
-as these fixtures mount right against the wall, and can
get very hot if other types of bulbs are used.
Light bulbs are not included in this purchase.

All vintage, antique, restored, and previously used
    electric light
fixtures and lamps should be inspected
    and installed
    by a
    licensed electrician.
I do not accept returns, as it takes quite a lot of
time to restore these lamps, and they often get
    damaged during amateur installation. (DROPPED)
