Description
Pair of Restored 1930's-1950's Art Deco/MCM, White Porcelain Sconces by J.. PauldingThese art deco, white porcelain sconces were manufactured by J.I. Paulding in New Bedford, Mass. during the 1930's to early 1950's. They are in very good condition and are ready to install.
We have carefully cleaned each of the sconces and removed the old overpaint from the sides. We rewired them and also disassembled, cleaned, and lubed the pull chain switches and added new nickel plated pull chains. The pull switches work smoothly and correctly. The porcelain is in good condition with only minor defects mostly around the area below the socket (see photos). The original pull knobs were missing when we got the fixtures so we added new plastic ones. The sale includes the mounting hardware (nickel plated nuts, threaded nipples, crossbars). Everything has been tested and is guaranteed to work correctly.
Each fixture has a polarized outlet at the base which were rewired. Since the outlets are not the modern 3-wire grounded systems, we will let the buyer and his/her electrician decide whether hook them up.
Dimensions: 6-1/8" high, 3-7/8" wide, project 3-1/2" from the wall. They use standard base bulbs (not included).
Shipping is buyer's choice of USPS Parcel Select, UPS or FedEx Ground, or USPS Priority Mail.
The sconces are guaranteed to be as described and we will accept their return if buyer is dissatisfied. Just notify us within 30 days of receiving them.
We have other sconces and lots of other porcelain fixtures for sale, so please check out our
