Pair Victorian Antique Finish Brass Two Light Sconces Painted Glass Shades

This is a pair of solid aged brass double
wall light

.  These are quality reproduction light fittings in solid brass with a natural antique tarnish which has been waxed and buffed to replicate a restored antique light. The shades are genuine antique reverse hand painted glass shades that I purchased to use with the fixtures.  The light attaches to the wall on an oval decorative back plate with scroll detail on the top and bottom.  The two arms have decorative detailing with intricate scrolls throughout. This style of wall sconce is typical of the Victorian and Edwardian periods where craftsmanship and quality were the order of the day.  I purchased these fixtures from Van Dykes Restoration in the 1990s for use in a bathroom.  The lights can be installed facing up or down.  They are very elaborate and perfect for the right home decor.
The fixtures measure approximately 10 1/4 inches tall and 13 inches wide without the shades and 15 1/2 with shades.    The four shades have minor chips around the bottom edges which I never noticed until I washed them recently.  They measure approximately 4 7/8 inches tall and 4 3/4 inches wide.
I did find a small split in the brass base of one towards the back and two even tinier spots where it may split in the future.  I circled these and they are in the last three photos.   This does not affect their structural integrity and I was unaware that they were there until we took them down.  I think they could be soldered by someone experienced in this type of metal repair.  They could easily be used as is without any issues.  Overall, they
are in very good condition other than needing a good cleaning.
