Description
12" x 16" white mat with a 2" x 3" card with an attached fragment of the payload bay liner FLOWN aboard STS-82, the second Hubble Telescope service flight which launched on February 11, 1997. It traveled 6,500,000 miles completing 149 orbits of the Earth before returning to Earth on February 21, 1997. Presented to a NASA employee for significant contributions made to the success of the mission. A 7 1/2" x 9" color photo of the Hubble Telescope is SIGNED by astronauts who serviced the telescope on different missions including Scott Smith, Mark Lee, and Joe Tanner. A3" x 3" embroidered NASA Hubble Telescope patch and a Discovery orbiter 4" x 6" flag is on display. A 3" x 8" color photo is part of certificate that shows the Columbia touching down on landing. A clear, lightweight plastic bag provides a protective covering.
