    Rare 1983 Rockwell Rocketdyne Space Shuttle Main Engines SSME 1000 Firings Challenge Coin
    From the estate of a 46-year propulsion engineer who worked Apollo, Skylab, and Shuttle programs from 1958 - 2004.
    This very rare SSME Challenge Coin was given to select Rocketdyne employees that worked directly on the engine test and flight program.
    The SSMEs were tested at Stennis Space Center (was known at the time as: NSTL -- National Space Technology Laboratories until1988.)
    Coin is about 1.5" in diameter and 1/8" thick.
