    Manned Flight Awareness (MFA), a program that was begun in 1963, and was later (around the late 1990’s/early 2000’s) renamed to Space Flight Awareness (SFA).
    NASA developed the Manned Flight Awareness program to boost morale and maintain a focus on quality both internally and with outside contractors.
    The Manned Flight Awareness (MFA) Program, a NASA-managed motivational and recognition program with invited representation from the NASA and contractors having major responsibilities for human spaceflight mission success.
    Awards, Medallions, Pin’s, and Posters were created to enhance employee motivation for job quality and flight safety.
