    Description

This is a stunning original (late 19th century) pull down library lamp with matching glass shade and font, both with roses beautifully painted on the front and leaves on the back. Some prisms are intact, but more could be added (especially around the top ring.)
The lamp is in very good condition considering age. There is a little more yellowing on the shade because of the oil that was used, and the font has some faint splashes of white residue on the back. The brass pieces have acquired a naturally aged patina overall but have not been polished or painted. Nothing is cracked, broken, chipped, or repaired and the original flower knobs and smoke bell are intact. The pull-down mechanism in the top is working but could probably be cleaned/oiled as it is sticky. There is a Success oil font inside that has some cracks so, it probably doesn't hold oil.
The lamp hangs 40" down from the ceiling as-shown in the photos and measures 17" wide x 14" in diameter at the shade. All pieces will be packed securely and fully insured during shipping. Advertised shipping cost covers shipping within the lower 48 states only. Please ask for a shipping quote to AK, HI, or Puerto Rico.
