Two-Arm Bronze Argand Lamp J & I Cox NY Possibly Messenger & Sons Circa mid 19c

For your consideration, a Two-Arm Bronze Argand Lamp signed J & I Cox New York with a possible attribution to Messenger & Sons circa mid 19th century. Fluted urn shape with perpendicular sweeping arms, pedestal festooned with foliage. Burners are stamped “J&I COX New York”. Height 20”; width 18”; total weight 10 pounds 0.9 ounces. Listing for “Parts/Repair” because one of the arms is no longer attached to the base and original/period shades are missing. Unfortunately, I have no provenance for the lamp as I purchased it from my local Asheville Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Please see photos as what you see is exactly what you will receive.
