A Tile from NASA’s Shuttle Program
A perfect and meaningful gift for the space enthusiast!
Here’s a “must-have” gift for any space enthusiast! This 3” x 7.5” tile belonged once to NASA’s Space Shuttle Program! This tile was part of the Shuttle’s heat shield, and is made from a light, porous, and insulating silicon material and coated in heat-resistant matte black paint. This uniquely shaped tile has two sensor holes and a numbering code that will help you figure out where on the Shuttle the heat tile would have been placed using resources published by NASA.
Hint: it was likely on the top part of the cockpit!
It is unknown if the tile was flown. It also might have been used for materials testing and damage resistance, given the visible pits to the surface of the tile.
Condition:
This tile is in EXCELLENT condition and will display beautifully! The visible surface pitting was likely caused by materials testing at NASA. A 1/2" fleck of black paint from the marred area is included with the tile.

Returns:
I accept a no-questions-asked money back return policy granted the request is made up to 30 days after the item arrives. If the item is returned in an inferior condition as to how it was sent, a full return might not be granted.
