Very unusual fixture. The light is clearly kerosene though it does have faux gas keys to make it look like a gas fixture. Unusual brass thumb turns to hold the arms into place. At some point someone had electrified this but since it was never a gas fixture that didn't involve any drilling out of anything. The conversion resulted in the making of that steel post shown in photo 6. That's actually value added since you can not actual install it. I took out the old wiring since I'm shipping this with the arms pulled out anyway. As for how you wire it up it all depends on what you do with those red brass fonts. At the bottom inside there is a threaded piece of all-thread for a socket. The original converter put sockets with hurricane shade mounts inside but they were rusty and gross and these really need actual fonts inside them to look light anyway. The 2 part canopy has separated at the solder joint but once installed that's a non issue. Also at the bottom there is clearly something missing on that post? It threads into the internal cast iron part so it's original but what was on it? 29" diameter and 28" long total.
