    Description

Vintage NASA MSFC Rocket Engine Bellows Duct Expansion Joint Test Piece 12"
From the estate of a former NASA MSFC Propulsion engineer who worked the entire Shuttle program.
This single metal expansion joint was likely made from 3xx Stainless Steel with some nickel alloy.
It is 6 lbs, 12" long and has a 3" inside diameter. The bellows diameter is about 4".
The tag indicates it was manufactured by PATHWAY of New Braunfels, TX, which is now Senior Flexonics Pathway. They produce round and rectangular metal expansion joints.
Most likely this was to be used on a high pressure, cryogenic engine system in the test area at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center.
