Description

Unusual midcentury chandelier. Circa 1970.
No maker's mark. US made electrical components (Baseler Electronics, Chicago). Square metal mount (10-5/8" x 3-7/8") in two parts: electric panel and canopy.
Plexiglas tubes encasing tiny lamps/copper wire connectors with dark plexiglas panels interspersed and suspended from canopy.
There are 16 light tubes (32.75" x .5"). Several are clouded. The rest remain clear. The original light filament is inside all but one. The separated sixteenth tube and filament are included in listing. The fixture design featured eight cold grey plexiglas panels (30.75" x 3").
One of these is missing. They are hung from wire and filament suspenders (see photo).
Overall dimensions: 36" hang x 12" across squared
The chandelier is in working condition. It would benefit from restoration by a knowledgable buyer. It has been removed from its original installation in the house I am restoring primarily because of the sound it makes as a result of the HVAC vent that blows across it, rustling the plastic components against each other. The metal components are heavy, substantial. The parts suspended from the metal canopy light and elegant.
