Vtg Holophane Aisle Ceiling Lamp + Porcelain Socket + Fitter: Beautiful Glass
10" od x 10" tall
A vintage Holophane lamp, once seen in schools, libraries, theaters, hotels and office buildings
There are replicas seen at the BZN Bozeman, MT Yellowstone Airport while originals are noticed in London's Hotel Pancras, St Mary Abbott Church, The Wallace Collection and here in the US they're seen in the Smithsonian and old libraries or museums
I've had this beautiful Holophane aisle ceiling lamp since the 1970s, kept in my display shelf for decades away from sunlight and dampness
There are no cracks or chips on the glass
The porcelain socket is intact as is the housing which includes the mounting bracket
The Holophane and AISLE stamp are clearly stamped on the glass shown in pictures # 10 & 5
Scratches, nicks, dirt/dust are on the metal fitter housing
