Description
1834 - The citizens of Worcester, Massachusetts, in favor of rechartering the Bank of the United States say, "There is great pecuniary distress existing among all classes of the business population of this country...caused by the attitude assumed by the President of the United States toward the United States Bank and by his unnecesary removal of the public treasure from the custody of that institution...They beg leave to further suggest that they deem a project of returning to hard money currency as utterly impracticable in the present state of the commercial interests of the country."Three 6"x9" pages in good condition, removed from bound volume. Edgeware as shown. Please see inital page image.
