A subform of the Dorian pentatonic scale, F Pygmy tuning sits halfway between a major and a minor scale. F Pygmy is packed with deep, bold intervals that are poignant yet gentle and sweet. F Pygmy is ideal for personal introspection and meditation, and is useful for both major and minor progressions because of its dual nature. This specific Pygmy handpan tuning is closely related to the Kokil Pancham, an Indian scale that shares much in common with the Dorian pentatonic.
